Trading Terms

These Trading Terms set out expectations, responsibilities and practical rules for users who list, propose or complete vehicle swaps on Vantally. They are written to be clear and actionable — they do not replace legal advice.

Who is responsible?

Each party is responsible for their own vehicle, inspections, documentation and payments unless a written agreement states otherwise.

What is Vantally?

Vantally is a listings & communication platform — we do not act as escrow by default nor provide inspections.

Top-ups & AI guidance

AI-proposed top-ups are impartial suggestions only — parties remain free to negotiate different terms.

1. Definitions

  • Listing: A vehicle entry created by a user containing descriptions, photos and specifications.
  • Swap Request: A proposal to exchange one vehicle for another, optionally including a monetary top-up.
  • Top-up: A monetary amount suggested to make the proposed swap fair.
  • Platform: Vantally website, APIs, and related services.

2. Listing accuracy & disclosure

Provide accurate, clear and honest information. Always disclose material information such as:

  • Registration / plate number and chassis / VIN where appropriate.
  • Actual mileage and how it was measured.
  • Any history of accidents, major repairs, structural or mechanical faults.
  • Existing finance, liens or legal encumbrances.

Deliberate concealment or falsification may result in listing removal, account suspension or other penalties.

3. Inspections, checks & recommended pre-swap steps

Vantally does not inspect vehicles. Before finalising a swap, we strongly recommend the following checklist:

  1. Arrange a physical inspection — check bodywork, engine, interior, and perform a test drive.
  2. Consider an independent mechanic for high-value vehicles or if you suspect faults.
  3. Confirm identity and ownership documents (V5C/logbook or local equivalent) in person or via trusted third parties.
  4. Check for outstanding finance, liens, or manufacturer recalls using appropriate local services.

4. Offers, acceptance, counteroffers & cancellations

A swap request is an offer from the requester. The recipient may accept, reject or make a counteroffer. Either party can cancel a pending swap prior to acceptance. After acceptance, parties should promptly complete inspections, settle any payments and update listings (for example, mark vehicles as sold).

5. Top-ups, payments & financial safety

Top-ups suggested by our AI are indicative and do not constitute financial advice. Practical guidance:

  • Use traceable payment methods such as bank transfer or regulated providers.
  • Obtain written receipts or a simple written agreement for exchanges of funds.
  • Avoid sending upfront payments without a signed agreement and satisfactory inspection.
  • If you use escrow or third-party services, verify their legitimacy before transferring funds.

6. Transfer of ownership, fees & taxes

The parties are responsible for completing any legal transfer of ownership and paying any taxes, duties or fees required by local law. Vantally is not responsible for these payments or for delays arising from incomplete paperwork.

7. Evidence, records & dispute assistance

Saved messages, the original listing and uploaded photos form important evidence if a dispute arises. Vantally may preserve relevant records to assist support and law enforcement requests, but we cannot resolve contractual disputes between users. Consider independent mediation for unresolved disputes.

8. Prohibited conduct & removals

You must not use Vantally to:

  • List stolen vehicles or use falsified documentation.
  • Post abusive, harassing, discriminatory or illegal content.
  • Attempt to bypass platform controls (e.g., multiple accounts to evade measures).

Breaches may lead to immediate suspension, removal of content and reporting to authorities when required by law.

9. Indemnity, disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Users agree to indemnify Vantally from claims arising out of their use of the platform or transactions with other users.
  • Vantally provides the platform on an “as-is” basis and disclaims certain warranties (availability, fitness for purpose).
  • Vantally is not liable for indirect, consequential or punitive damages arising from user-to-user transactions.

10. Data retention & privacy

We retain messages, listings and swap records to operate the service, investigate issues and comply with legal obligations. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, store and process personal data.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Trading Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via the platform and (where appropriate) by email. Continued use of Vantally after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Contact, support & reporting

If you need help or wish to report a listing or user, contact our support team at support@vantally.com. For legal enquiries include full details and relevant evidence (listing ID, messages, photos).

Important: This page is a practical, user-facing summary. For a legally binding contract or jurisdiction-specific terms, consult a qualified lawyer and update the Terms of Service and related legal documents accordingly.
